Summary
The Iron Buffalo Centre requires a Data Analyst. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Iron Buffalo Centre. The Data Analyst will work as a member of the IT Team under the Iron Buffalo Centre to help us generate key insights on usage, quality, and performance of these experiences.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and implement key datasets that provide structured and timely access to actionable business information.
- Develop a deep understanding of vast data sources and know exactly how, when, and which data to use to tackle business problems.
- Collecting data from various sources
- Streamlining data collection methods to create automated and easy-to-use routines
- Designing databases and data systems
- Maintaining databases and data systems by addressing errors and monitoring performance
- Analyzing collected data and putting it into a format that others can easily interpret
- Interpreting data trends and patterns as they relate to the organization
- Preparing reports for organizational leadership to use in a business setting
- Collaborating with other employees, including IT, to determine areas of improvement in relation to data
- Act as a conduit between multiple PMs to coordinate and facilitate interdependent work efforts at the feature level

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 4+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 2+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of experience with big data platforms.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience building Power BI, Excel, and Reporting Services dashboards and reports.
- Experience in a data-intensive role, with a focus on product and advanced analytics.
- Problem solving, technical and data analysis skills.
- Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism
- Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually
- Must live a healthy lifestyle
- Must be able to provide a Criminal Record Check (CPIC)
