Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Housing Coordinator, The Maintenance Worker(s) will perform basic maintenance, and assess repairs needed in relation to the housing units on reserve.
Duties and Responsibilities

Determines the need for area construction and service.

Prepare work schedule and requisition for materials, tools, and equipment needed to complete work.

Review work orders, plans, and schedules.

Preform general maintenance duties to fulfill work orders as needed.

Assess maintenance issues for properties to determine the need for external contractors.

Assist the Housing Coordinator with maintenance operations.

Report daily and weekly results.

Evaluates vacant residences for needed repairs prior to occupancy.

Prepares estimates and forwards to management.

Completes move-in inspections of residences.

Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications and Skill
- Carpentry, other basic trade skills, and 2 years’ recent related experience, and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Ability to work well with others, and maintain a professional work demeanor while at work.
- Ability to follow direction and work independently.
- Requires the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Other
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Person that leads a “healthy life-style”, fit for Duty.
- Must provide a current, original, Canadian Criminal Record Check (CPIC), as a condition of employment.
