Summary
The STEP Project utilizes Sensory, Tradition, Education and Physical supports focusing on early prevention, assessment and in-home educational supports for children 0-4 and their families. STEP Project is a new initiative creating an in-home learning and tracking system to better equip children entering the school system. The STEP Project Coordinator will be part of a Health/Education Team developing and implementing an early- years program that eliminates barriers to healthy, holistic child development.
Duties and Responsibilities
(Within the STEP project team)
- Assist in research and consultation in development of a healthy, holistic early-years program.
- Assist in research and consultation to compile listing, selection and scheduling of specialized support staff for assessments and case planning of children ages 0-4
- Assist in research and consultation to compile resources needed to implement the in-home learning for children ages 0-4
- Assist in research and consultation to compile resources needed to implement a Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program
- In consultation with the STEP Project Team, coordinate continuum of supports for children and parents
- Track and compile all necessary documents required to create baseline data on the STEP Project including regular maintenance and reporting on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Other duties arising from STEP Project development
Qualifications and Experience
- Education or experience in special project development and implementation
- Education or experience with Early-Years Development and Education
- Education or experience with data analytics, reporting and program promotion
- Must possess a valid Saskatchewan driver’s license, a reliable vehicle.Must provide a current, original, Canadian Criminal Record Check (CPIC) with vulnerable sector search, as a condition of employment.
