Job Summary

The role of a Student Services Coordinator is to ensure students receive high- quality support services to fulfill the need of each individual student. The Student Services Coordinator will collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor and support all identified students. They will lead the professional development for teachers via training, mentoring, observations, modelling, and data analysis.

Job Duties

  • Collaborate in the development, delivery, and monitoring of Inclusion and Intervention Plans (IIPs)
  • Attend regular meetings with Teachers, E.A.s, and parents/guardians to share information regarding students
  • Provide direct services and resource support to identified students, as needed
  • Facilitate the referral process for students requiring second level professional services
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and E.A.’s and provide recommendations for appropriate adaptations and instructional strategies for students
  • Collaborate in the scheduling of E.A.’s to meet student need
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Bachelor Degree in Education
  • Minimum two (2) years of teaching experience
  • Saskatchewan Professional A Teachers’ Certification
  • Experience working within First Nations’ Schools and Communities
  • Excellent communication skills (Verbal/Written); decision making skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Independent self-starter
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in computer software applications
  • Standard First Aid/CPR
  • Must successfully complete Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
